Decision on the RIIO-ED1 closeout methodology for Specified Street Works Costs (“SSWC”)

In July 2020, we consulted on our proposed methodology to settle or “closeout” the SSWC element of RIIO-ED1 once the price control has ended. SSWC is one of seven cost areas within RIIO-ED1 that requires a specific mechanism to account for its uncertain nature. The decision on the methodologies for RIIO-ED1 closeout, published in December 2019, sets out the closeout methodologies for the other six elements of the price control.
