In our letter of October 2021 relating to our decision to grant storage licences in the near term to Synchronous Condensers, we committed to conducting a review of the regulatory and licensing treatment of these and similar assets which are dedicated to providing system ancillary services. We are beginning this review through this call for evidence, to help inform the correct enduring licensing and regulatory treatment to ensure competition and lowest cost solutions for the end consumer.
