This open letter sets out Ofgem’s expectations of energy supply companies regarding financial stability. Where energy suppliers have financial stability concerns, it is essential that they engage with Ofgem promptly and openly. We welcome the ongoing discussions we are having with suppliers about challenges they are experiencing.
Ofgem remains prepared to act swiftly and decisively where businesses do not comply with their regulatory obligations, including those pertaining to retail financial stability.
