The purpose of this letter is to consult on the proposed licence changes to Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission plc’s (SHE Transmission’s) electricity transmission licence following a decision published by the Authority on 16 April 2014 about a reinforcement of the transmission system to the northwest of Inverness (the Beauly Mossford project).
SHE Transmission proposed the Beauly Mossford project under the Strategic Wider Works (SWW) arrangements put in place in the RIIO-T1 electricity transmission price control. Having consulted on our assessment and taking into account the views of stakeholders, we have approved £53.2m of additional Allowed Expenditure (2013/14 prices) for the Beauly Mossford project.
To implement our decision, we propose to modify SHE Transmission’s electricity transmission licence by inserting the SWW Output and Allowed Expenditure adjustment for the project into Special Condition 6I (Specification of Baseline Wider Works Outputs and Strategic Wider works Outputs and Assessment of Allowed Expenditure).
