This consultation relates to the National Transmission System (NTS) exit capacity incentive mechanism – an output incentive mechanism that has been operational in the gas distribution sector under RIIO-GD1. It considers the needs case for the incentive going forward and presents options for its design and application in RIIO-GD2, including the option of removing the incentive.
