In January 2017, the Scottish Government published a consultation on local heat and energy efficiency strategies and regulation of district heating.
The consultation invites views on the role that regulation could play in supporting the development of district heating in Scotland.
In our response we draw on our experience as regulator of the gas and electricity markets to set out what we see as being some of the key considerations to inform policy development around heat network and energy efficiency strategies.
