The promotion of good customer service is a major objective of the Director General of Electricity Supply. Each year since 1992 he has reported on the performance of the Public Electricity Suppliers (PESs) in providing services for electricity customers. Standards of Performance are an important element in the regulatory framework and serve to protect the interests of customers in key service areas.
