UNC Modification Proposal 086: 'Introduction of Gas Demand Management Reserve Arrangements'

This Modification Proposal seeks to require National Grid Gas NTS to put in place a tender scheme to encourage gas demand side response. Appropriately target costs of the scheme on a polluter pays principle and ensure that the incentive to balance is not eroded by feeding through the costs of the scheme into System Marginal Buy Price. Ensure that actions taken by National Grid Gas NTS as part of the scheme are classed as Eligible Balancing Actions as defined in section D1.4 of the Uniform Network Code.
