Ofgem has adopted an iterative approach to making its metadata available. Expect many small updates that piece-by-piece deliver

a view of the data Ofgem works with. We are adopting this approach to make it easier to get feedback on our approach to sharing

metadata early and so better enable us to respond to our data users' views and needs.

For each metadata file published an accompanying release note is also published.

The release note uses the same filename as the metadata file, but with the suffix "_releasenote"

The release note is intended to provide context for the associated metadata.

Each time a release note or metadata file is updated the version number of both the release note and the metadata file is updated in synchronisation with each other.
