Ofgem publishes Forward Work Programme and Corporate Strategy

Press release

Publication date

We have published our Forward Work Programme for 2015-16. It sets out our planned work for the next twelve months including our priorities for consumer policy, transmission and distribution, markets and competition, and sustainable development.

The Forward Work Programme is now out for public consultation until 18 February 2015. We will publish the final programme in March 2015.

Alongside this we have published our Corporate Strategy: this sets out how we aim to make the most of our resources and powers to make a positive difference for current and future consumers over the next few years. The strategy focuses on six key themes:

  1. Regulation of monopolies and markets through price controls and setting market rules
  2. Competition through improving market access and consumer information
  3. Standards expected of an essential service through quality control and consumer protection
  4. Partnership with government, the industry and consumers to improve regulation and competition
  5. Confidence through increasing transparency and accountability
  6. Efficiency through delivering schemes on time and on budget and making quicker decisions
