NGET - Capacity Market Rules CP321

Change Proposal

Publication date

Rule 7.5.1(o) requires the Delivery Body to update the BETA value on the Capacity Market register 5 days after a stress event. At 5 days after a stress event, we may not be in a position to know which CMU has a BETA value and which doesn’t (as we await data from applicants who have more than 5 days to respond). It is our understanding that the Settlement Body does not need to know this data until 5 days after the end of the relevant month. Therefore the Delivery Body recommends better alignment of timescales across Delivery Partners in the Rules.

NOTE: the BETA value is either 1, where a Relevant Balancing Service is provided in the relevant Settlement Period or 0 if not providing a Relevant Balancing Service.
