This is a letter from Martin Crouch, Ofgem Senior Partner, Electricity Transmission, to Andrea Leadsom, Minister of State, providing Ofgem's sixth monitoring report on the Connect and Manage electricity transmission access regime.

Since our last report, the total number of large generators connected to the system under the Connect and Mange regime has increased from 23 to 28, with a total capacity of 1,898 MW. The total number of connection agreements for large generation projects has also increased from 201 to 255, with a total capacity of 42,500 MW.

Connection dates have been brought forward by an average of five years under the Connect and Manage regime, compared to the previous arrangements.

We continue to monitor the costs associated with the Connect and Manage regime and continue to assess and approve applications for major reinforcements to the transmission system under the Strategic Wider Works arrangements. Once commissioned, these reinforcements increase the capacity on the network and will have a significant impact on reducing constraint costs.

Further information can be found in the letter and report below.
