Environmental Discretionary Reward Scheme Guidance - response to open letter consultation and next steps

Decision

This letter provides our response to the open letter consultation on revised guidance for the Environmental Discretionary Reward Scheme (EDR) published on 13 December 2013.

The EDR Scheme provides a financial and reputational incentive for electricity transmission companies that provide evidence that they are achieving high standards of environmental management as well as facilitating the transition to low carbon energy systems.

On 31 January 2014, we gave notice to licensees that we proposed modifications to the EDR guidance. We provided licensees with 28 days to respond to the guidance and its proposed date of effect of 7 March 2014. We received no objections during this period and it therefore came into force as proposed. You can view the revised guidance below.
