In 2015 we published our first annual Enforcement Overview, as a means of improving transparency around our enforcement activities; and we have published a similar report in each subsequent year.
We think that these overview reports have been an effective tool to show the impact and efficiency of our enforcement work, in line with our enforcement vision: that businesses put energy consumers first and act in line with their obligations.
We have now published this, our fourth annual Enforcement Overview, for the financial year April 2017 to March 2018. It provides an overview of:
- Investigations opened and other enforcement activities, including compliance action and alternative action
- Completed investigations and performance
- Penalties and other remedial activity (including how consumers have benefitted from the various redress schemes initiated as a result of our activity)
- Our current portfolio and other related work
