In the Market-wide Half-hourly Settlement Significant Code Review (SCR) Launch Statement we set out our proposed model for the Design Working Group to develop the Target Operating Model and the governance structure that we intend to use for decision-making. This model proposes that ELEXON lead a Design Working Group to provide recommendations to the Ofgem Senior Responsible Owner for decision and an Ofgem-led Design Advisory Board, which will advise us on our decision.

The SCR Launch Statement also invited interested parties to apply to be a member of the Design Working Group by 1 September 2017.

We have reviewed the applications submitted by stakeholders and decided to appoint the following persons to be members of the Design Working Group:

  • Adam Boorman (Cornwall Energy)
  • Emily Bridges (OVO Energy)
  • Seth Chapman (Morrison Data Services)
  • Tom Chevalier (Association of Meter Operators)
  • John Christopher (Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy)
  • Andrew Colley (SSE Plc)
  • James Evans (Hudson Energy)
  • Eric Graham (TMA Data Management)
  • Alex Leyland (British Gas)
  • Ian Marshall (Data Communications Company)
  • Tracey Pitcher & Simon Yeo* (Western Power Distribution)
  • Paul Saker (EDF Energy)
  • Chris Welby (Bristol Energy)

We look forward to working with ELEXON and the appointed Design Working Group members in the development of the Target Operating Model to deliver Market-wide Half-hourly Settlement.

We would like to thank all the stakeholders who submitted an application to be a member of the Design Working Group.

We would like to remind unsuccessful applicants that attending the Design Working Group is not the only way to participate. Consultation on Target Operating Model options will take place at key stages and we will maintain regular contact with stakeholders throughout the duration of the TOM design work via a range of communication channels such as monthly teleconference calls, updates and where requested, individual stakeholder meetings.

*Tracey Pitcher & Simon Yeo will be co-sharing a membership position
