Designation of National Grid Gas plc as the “forecasting party” for the GB balancing zone as required for compliance with the Network Code on Gas Balancing of Transmission Networks and approval of UNC489

This consultation allows respondents to express their view on the designation of the “forecasting party” as required under Gas Balancing of Transmission Networks Network Code. BAL requires the forecasting party to fulfil various tasks which are summarised in the letter but are principally around providing market participants with the necessary information to balance their portfolios. The deadline for responses is 11 December 2014.
