This consultation seeks views on whether to approve additional funding for National Grid’s Anglo-Scottish Incremental project, which will increase capacity across the transmission boundary between Scotland and England. National Grid is seeking retrospective (2012-13) Transmission Investment Incentives (TII) funding of £8.4 million for construction work at the Hutton substation.
We have reviewed National Grid’s request and are minded to approve it under the Further Works mechanism set out in National Grid’s electricity transmission licence. Our decision is subject to consideration of the responses to this consultation.
