Closure of Investigation into Alkane Energy UK Ltd’s Compliance with Rule 5.13.1 (b) of the Capacity Market Rules 2014
In May 2015, Ofgem opened an investigation into Alkane Energy UK Ltd’s compliance with Rule 5.13.1 (b) of the Capacity Market Rules.
In particular Ofgem investigated whether Alkane Energy UK Ltd provided false or misleading information to the Delivery Body regarding whether it had obtained all Relevant Planning Consents in relation to certain Capacity Market Units (CMU’s) which participated in the T-4 capacity Auction in December 2014.
We have decided to close the investigation as Alkane Energy UK Ltd has provided Ofgem with information which confirms that there was not a breach of 5.13.1 (b) the Capacity Market Rules.
