Notice under Section 6A(5) of the Electricity Act 1989 of the grant of an Electricity Interconnector Licence
Pursuant to section 6A(5) of the Electricity Act 1989 (“the Act”), the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (“the Authority”) hereby gives notice that, on 19 November 2013, an electricity interconnector licence was granted under section 6(1)(e) of the Act to ElecLink Limited (company number 07595420) whose registered office is situated at 6th Floor, 33 Cavendish Square, London, W1G 0PW, United Kingdom, authorising it to participate in the operation of the ElecLink interconnector, an electricity interconnector between Great Britain and France connecting at Sellindge 400kV substation in Great Britain.

Note: An electricity interconnector licence authorises a person to operate an electricity interconnector. It is not an authorisation to construct the interconnector. Construction of the interconnector is subject to separate planning processes including the obtaining of any consents or permits required from relevant authorities, including the relevant planning authority.
