Corporate strategy and planning

We produce an annual Forward Work Programme which outlines our priorities and key activities over the coming year.

These priorities have been carefully selected as the areas we feel represent the greatest opportunity for and risk to current and future energy consumers. The work programme provides information on the work to be undertaken to support our Corporate Strategy and priorities, as well as financial data and information on our planned deliverables for the year ahead.

In 2018-19 our key priorities are:

  1. Enabling a better functioning retail market
  2. Facilitating change in the energy system
  3. Ensuring network companies deliver for consumers in a changing system
  4. Identifying opportunities and managing long-term risk on behalf of consumers.

Alongside these priorities, this document also sets our role in delivering renewable energy and social schemes on behalf of government, and incorporates our Simplification Plan activities. Our Simplification Plan lists the main activities we plan to undertake in 2018-19 in support of our better regulation agenda.
