Decision

A white label provider is an organisation that does not hold a supply licence and instead partners with a licensed supplier to offer gas and electricity using its own brand.

In September 2014, we consulted on a package of proposals applying to new and existing white labels to replace the existing temporary arrangements. After considering the consultation responses, which can be accessed below, we think those proposals strike the right balance by upholding the key protections afforded to consumers by the Retail Market Review (RMR), while allowing room for white label arrangements.

We are now consulting on changes to the supply licences to give effect to our proposals. We welcome responses by 20 March.
