CERT update

Ofgem has certain statutory duties under the CERT legislation.  These include requesting and collecting specified data, from the suppliers, on a quarterly basis. The suppliers provide the cumulative achieved carbon savings for each of their approved schemes; these savings are broken down by consumer type (Priority Group and non Priority Group) and measure type (insulation, lighting, heating, appliances, micro-generation & CHP and demonstration action).

From this data, Ofgem prepares the CERT Update to inform energy efficiency stakeholders of the suppliers’ overall progress towards the CERT target. The CERT Update is also used to provide information on broader energy efficiency issues and feedback on the activity of the energy efficiency team at Ofgem.

If you would like to be added to the mailing list to receive the CERT Update, either by email or post, please send your contact details to: cert@ofgem.gov.uk.
