This document was an open letter to new and potential signatories to the BSC at the time it made the transition to a GB wide scope. It alerted new participants to the potential for significant financial exposures from erroneous contract notifications, and highlighted that they are fully responsible for such exposure. Parties were encouraged to review their risk mitigation strategies and to speak to either ELEXON or Ofgem if they needed further information to understand how to avoid problems in this area.
