The Distribution Code covers the technical aspects of connection to and use of the distribution licensee's distribution networks. Noting that offshore transmission systems may connect to onshore distribution systems, changes to the Distribution Code that were considered appropriate for the offshore transmission were made using powers under Section 90 and 91 of the Energy Act 2004.
