Gas Distribution Network Sales

This section also includes the documents relating to the impact of National Grid’s decision to sell four of its Gas Distribution Networks.

Prior to the sale all the Gas Distribution Networks and the National Transmission System (NTS) were owned by National Grid. Ofgem implemented various changes to the regulatory environment to reflect the changes in industry structure. The sales were completed in May 2005.

Transco Price Control Review

The 2002-07 Transco Price Control Review covered the National Transmission System (NTS), the Gas Distribution Networks combined, and Transco’s metering business.

The price control for gas distribution was separated in 2003 from a single control to eight controls for the eight GDNs.
