Policy 

The Distribution Policy team deals with electricity distribution network policy. This includes:

  • modifications to network operators’ charging methodologies,
  • regulation of the Independent Network Operators (IDNOs),
  • the structure of charges project, developing charging arrangements for distribution companies, and
  • considering policy on distributed generation to ensure that it is not treated unfairly by the way networks are operated and regulated.
