markets to ensure that the interests of consumers are
protected.
Ofgem undertakes routine market monitoring of the operation of
the wholesale and the activities of market participants.
Where Ofgem identifies (or is informed of) activities that may
harm competition Ofgem will undertake rigorous monitoring, and will
use its powers to tackle any anti-competitive behaviour or
practices identified.
