This includes work to remove unnecessary regulation from the standard conditions of gas and electricity supply licences whilst retaining proportionate protection for vulnerable customers, reviewing arrangements for the prevention of theft of energy, regulating the suppliers’ marketing of energy to domestic customers, arrangements to protect customers if a supplier goes into administration; and the ability of customers to switch supplier using the customer transfer process.
