Hannah is Partner, RIIO and Transmission at Ofgem. She is responsible for leading RIIO, Ofgem’s new framework for regulating Britain’s gas and electricity networks. She is also responsible for Ofgem’s transmission policy. In this capacity she leads Ofgem’s work on the transmission price controls, Project Transmit – the fundamental review of transmission charging and connection arrangements – and the funding of transmission investment to support the delivery of the Government’s renewable energy targets.
Hannah joined Ofgem in 2008. Prior to that Hannah was Head of Regulatory Economics at the Office of Rail Regulation, where she led the development and delivery of key aspects of the economic and financial framework for the 2008 periodic review. She was also a senior consultant at Cambridge Economic Policy Associates where she had significant involvement in formulating company policy and strategy as well as providing regulatory economic and financial advice; and has worked as an economist for Deutsche Bank in London and Frankfurt.
Hannah holds an MA and BA in economics from Cambridge University and an MSc in competition and regulatory economics from City University.
