Helen was appointed Associate Director, Projects in January 2010. Helen and her team are responsible for the provision of high quality project management advice and support to major projects across the business.
Helen has worked in project and programme management since 1997. In her early Civil Service career she managed biotechnology and science communication programmes at the Dept of Trade and Industry and later continued similar work at the Wellcome Trust. She joined the Audit Commission in 2001 to manage the production of a suite of best practice guides for Local Government, and progressed through change management roles in HR and corporate services to her most recent role as the Commission's Head of Programme Management. She has a degree and PhD in earth sciences.
