Roy Field was appointed Ofgem Group Secretary in September 2009. Previously he was Chief Operating Officer between 2003 and 2009 and before that Ofgem’s Finance Director.
He is a member of Ofgem’s Senior Management Team and Ofgem E-Serve Management Committee. He also attends a number of the Authority’s committees. Roy heads Ofgem’s Secretariat and has responsibility for Scotland, Wales & the Regions.
Roy joined Ofgas in 1993 from DTI where he worked on international oil & gas policy issues and represented the UK at a number of international events and EC committees. Before joining DTI he worked on various energy issues at the Department of Energy including electricity privatisation.
