Curt was appointed as Director, Information Management and Technology in July 2008.
He is responsible for the management of the Information systems, technology and processes that support, grow and transform Ofgem’s business practices. This includes protecting Ofgem’s information assets; ensuring core systems and services operate in an efficient and cost effective manner; developing and delivering on Information strategy; and building flexible systems and applications to support emerging business requirements. Additionally, Curt is responsible for information management strategy with a view to developing Ofgem’s knowledge management and protecting its intellectual assets.
Curt joined Ofgem in June 2000 and has held a number of posts, primarily within IT. Before joining Ofgem, Curt worked for a large IT consultancy, QData, as a Technical Service Delivery Manager, where he focused on ensuring that the IT outsourcing arrangements met customer expectations.
Curt graduated from the University of Natal in 1996 (with a BArch) and in 1998 with a PgDipArch. Curt has a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from Warwick University as part of his MBA.
