Ofgem investigates companies which may be:
- breaching the terms of their licence;
- acting anti-competitively; or
- breaching consumer protection law.
The launch of a formal investigation will be publicised on the enforcement section of the website unless it is inconsistent with Ofgem's statutory duties to do so.
Ofgem will not comment on an investigation until a decision has been reached. This can take some months. The outcome of each case will also be published in the enforcement section.
