Ofgem Graduate Development Programme

Ofgem is the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets. Protecting current and future consumers is our first priority. We do this by promoting competition wherever appropriate, and regulating the monopoly companies which run the gas and electricity networks.

The impact of our work is far reaching, making it demanding but highly satisfying. And the energy agenda is constantly changing which raises new issues and challenges for us to address including the future security of energy supplies, tackling climate change and developing European policy to open up energy markets. The Ofgem Graduate Development Programme (OGDP) provides you with the opportunity to work with some of the most senior people in the regulatory field and to be involved in creating policy that shapes the future of the energy market.

These pages carry information about Ofgem, the OGDP and the package we offer to graduates. They include case studies which provide you with valuable insight into what to expect from the programme. We have also included some Frequently Asked Questions.

Ofgem offers excellent career progression opportunities for the right candidates.
