Ofgem is committed to the principles of better regulation and we are continually seeking to improve our efficiency and effectiveness.
As a part of this, and in response to the Government's broader drive to reduce the burden of regulation while ensuring consumer protection, we published our first Simplification Plan in March 2006.
Our current Simplification Plan outlines the work that we are undertaking in 2011-2012 under the banner of better regulation and minimising burdens on licensees and other stakeholders.
