Michael Brocklehurst 


Michael Brocklehurst is the legal adviser to the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority.

After a period in private practice and at the Crown Estate Office, Michael moved to the Department of Energy as a member of the team involved in the passage of the Gas Act 1986 and subsequent flotation of British Gas and then in the Electricity Act 1989 team.

In 1989 he moved to the newly established OFFER, the electricity regulator, before moving on in 1995 to ORR, the Rail Regulator's office. In 2000, he returned to the now combined energy regulator's office, Ofgem.
